Bronze is as old as civilisation itself and has been used for cookware across the centuries. Recently it has been overlooked in favour of cast iron, stainless steel and copper for premium cookware. We believe the oversight is because normal bronze reacts to foods but Kansa bronze does not.
At Eaglador we use this specific type of bronze called Kansa for our cookware. It is widely used in Indian markets. Kansa has a high tin content [80% copper 20% tin] and the tin makes our cookware non-reactive to foods, naturally non-stick, non-toxic with no surface coating. The copper in the alloy is ultra conductive.
Compared for instance to cast iron, bronze is lighter more conductive and in our opinion a better aesthetic for cookware.
