AURUM 7" KANSA BRONZE SAUCEPAN

This is a heavy gauge Kansa bronze [78% copper 22% tin] cast saucepan. The exterior is wrought, sculptural and of artisanal quality.

Aurum is Latin for golden and symbolises the golden patina bronze takes over time. The name also takes its inspiration from Legio Aurum - The Golden legion. 

Kansa bronze is highly suitable for use in cookware, as tin is naturally non stick and non-toxic whilst copper is ultra conductive. And unlike other pans that are non stick coated the tin here is part of the alloy so it does not need to be relined and will last forever. 

This pan is great for sauteing because of its thermal conductivity. It heats up instantly and also retains heat well due to the 5mm cast wall.

Bronze is also antimicrobial, durable and resists corrosion. The bronze artifacts unearthed in the ancient city of Pompey are testament to bronze's material longevity. This is generational cookware to be inherited or passed down.
