Cast Bronze Saucepan

This is a beautiful cast bronze saucepan. It has a 5mm thick wall. The exterior has wonderful sculptural pitted detail, which takes its inspiration from a morel mushroom. 

Specifically, it is made of Kansa bronze an ultra superior metal which is 80% copper, 20% tin. It is a premium metal to use for cookware as the high tin content in the bronze makes it naturally non stick whilst the copper is ultra conductive. And unlike other pans that are non stick coated the tin here is part of the alloy so it does not need to be relined and will last forever. 

This pan is great for sauteing because of its thermal conductivity. It heats up instantly and also retains heat well due to its properties and the thickness of the 5mm cast wall. Bronze is also antimicrobial, resists corrosion.

It is also highly decorative item to have in the kitchen. The molten lines have a roughness in-between them. We love the contrast between highly polished and wrought surfaces and it works really well here to create an eye-catching texture.

Suitable for all hobs except induction as bronze is non magnetic:
