Bronze is as old as civilisation itself and has been used for cookware across the centuries. Despite its rich culinary history, it has recently been overlooked for cookware.
At Eaglador, we use a specific type of bronze called Kansa for our cookware. Kansa bronze is widely used in Indian and Asian markets, but was one of the great metallurgy discoveries of the bronze age.
Kansa is highly suitable for cookware as it has a higher than average tin content. Tin is naturally non-stick, non toxic and non reactionary, whilst copper is ultra conductive.
Compared for instance to cast iron - bronze is lighter more conductive and in our opinion a better aesthetic for cookware.
