Kansa bronze promotes wellness and is entwined with Ayurvedic principles. We have named our sauté pan Robustus which is Latin for robust or strong which emphasizes the pans solid weighty presence, ideal for stable, even heat distribution and excellent retention. This is a useful size pan that holds a 2.7L volume on a wider cooking surface. It can comfortably cook a whole chicken but with a 25cm diameter, its straight walled dimensions offer many cooking uses. The tightfitting lid with a heat escape makes it suitable for casserole, slow cooking, basting, roasting and frying. It also features a helper handle for easier lifting, providing control, leverage and balance. It is a solid casting of Kansa bronze which is a specific type of bronze with a higher tin content (78% Copper 22% tin). Tin is naturally non-stick; therefore, unlike other pans that are non stick coated the tin here is part of the alloy so it does not need to be relined and will last forever. The exterior is wrought, sculptural and of artisanal quality.

Thick Bronze Pans Have Excellent Heat Conductivity and Even Distribution
Thick pans especially those made of cast bronze have excellent heat retention because they have high thermal mass. The greater the mass and density of a material, the more thermal energy it can absorb and store, leading to a more stable cooking temperature. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, combines high thermal conductivity with the benefits of high thermal mass.
What Makes Kansa Bronze Unique?
Eaglador's Kansa Bronze Ayurvedic Sauté Pan is a unique blend of copper and tin at a ratio of 78:22. The high tin content makes it naturally non-stick which provides an healthy cooking experience without harmful chemicals. The copper in the alloy is super conductive.
