Luxury cookware should combine performance, beauty, function and durability. And here it is achieved through a solid casting of Kansa bronze containing a ratio of 78% Copper 22% tin. In addition to the high tin content the interior of the pan is also tin-lined to give a naturally non-stick cooking surface that is 100% PFAS free. Unlike other copper pans that are tin-lined, the tin in bronze forms part of the alloy so this pan does not need to be relined. We have named our frying pan Igneus which is Latin for fiery or of fire, reflecting the pans purpose in searing and frying. The exterior is wrought, sculptural and of artisanal quality. The pan features a helper handle for easier lifting, providing control, leverage and balance. At 5cm tall this frying pan has high walls to prevent splattering and can comfortably handle joints of meat.

Key points:
- Cast in Kansa bronze [78% copper 22% tin] and tin-lined
- 28cm wide cooking surface
- High wall (5cm) frying pan to prevent splattering
- Features a helper handle for easier lifting, providing control, leverage and balance
- PFAS free and Ayurvedic
- Excellent heat retention and distribution due to the 4mm solid bronze cast wall
- It is the thickness of the 4mm cast wall that differentiates our product to other copper cookware products
- Cooking from Kansa vessels fulfils the requirement of important copper trace metals
- Kansa bronze is highly suitable for use in cookware, as tin is naturally non stick and non-toxic whilst copper is ultra conductive
- Can be used in the oven as all parts are made of bronze and the handle is of welded construction
- Bronze is antimicrobial, durable and resists corrosion
- The bronze artifacts unearthed in the ancient city of Pompey are testament to bronze's material longevity
- Kansa bronze has excellent credentials and this is the epitome of luxury cookware
- Generational, heritage cookware to become part of your family story

The exterior of our pans feature wrought, sculptural lines set against molten polished ones. Evoking tensions between dark and light, ancient and modern. A visually appealing look that could only be achieved with a highly specialised casting process.
Thick Bronze Pans Have Excellent Heat Conductivity and Even Distribution
Thick pans especially those made of cast bronze have excellent at heat retention because they have high thermal mass. The greater the mass and density of a material, the more thermal energy it can absorb and store, leading to a more stable cooking temperature. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, combines high thermal conductivity with the benefits of high thermal mass. The copper content makes bronze second only to pure silver among performance cooking metals.
For Searing and Frying
When you add a cold steak to a pan, a thin pan's surface temperature can plummet, causing the meat to steam rather than sear. At 4mm thick this bronze pan has substantial thermal mass and resists temperature drops, allowing for a deep, even sear.
Tin Provides a Naturally Non-Stick Surface
Our naturally non-stick surface comes from tin. The pans are tin lined and have a high percentage of tin in the alloy 78% copper 22% tin. These pans will not need to be relined.
